Do you walk well?
Walking well means thinking about our balancing, posture and the way we walk.
Most of us don’t pay attention to how we walk until we get to the age of 50 and above when we sometimes start to feel more cautious about the way we walk and we start taking smaller steps and looking down at the ground.
This does not necessarily help us to walk better. It can actually affect how we place our feet on the ground and make us more likely to trip and fall.When walking, do you look down or do you look straight ahead? We should try and stop looking down at the ground every time we are walking. It might be a bit scary but it is better to look up and straight when we are walking so that we will walk well.
Every part of our body should be involved when we are walking. Swinging our arms, looking straight ahead and lifting up our feet can improve our balancing and help us feel more confident when we are walking.
